Artists at Work: Dustin Sherron L146

Color Line Paints make it easy to create imagery on glass just as you would on canvas. These lead-free enamels come ready to use directly out of the container. To create custom hues, all you have to do is mix.

In this lesson, artist Dustin Sherron demonstrates his process for painting on glass. He says, “The process of layering Color Line Paints and powdered glass over multiple firings allows me to make paintings with both illusionistic and real depth.”

Dustin Sherron earned a B.A. in studio art with an emphasis in painting from California State University Channel Islands. He began working at Bullseye Glass in 2014, where he has gained a working knowledge of kiln-forming methods, which led to the development of his fused glass enamel painting process.
